Judging report from Tracy Gaydon |
| Thank you so much to the club for inviting me to judge at your lovely and very well run show. We were blessed with terrific weather on the day and this combined with the lovely setting of the venue made this a most memorable show. My principal winners were: Best Dog And Best In Show. Ch Tweed Thinking Cap. Stunning male of great type and expertly presented. Loved his head and expression, correct length of neck, short backed with tail on top. Presented in crisp white coat of perfect length. Showed very well and moved with ease and style around the ring. Best Bitch. Ch White Villain Vanity Fair. A great bitch who I judged and loved a couple of years ago in Finland. She has matured since then beautifully. Prettiest head with terrific expression, lovely mouth, great pigment. Free standing young lady who showed so well from the time she entered the ring. In good coat and condition, carrying just the right amount of weight. Again she moved very freely around the ring. It was lovely to see her again. Dog CAC. Shakers Southern Comfort. Well made young dog who just needs to mature a little more to become the finished article. Has all the essentials he needs to make up and I predict a very bright future for him. Bitch CAC. Kriswestin Keep Thinking. Stunning young lady who pushed the top bitch all the way. She is a lovely type who excels in hindquarters and overall balance. I sincerely believe she could hold her own anywhere! She became a champion on the day I believe congratulations! Overall I was very pleased with the quality of the westies in Sweden. They are mostly of very good breed type and there was not a poor mover among them. Any of my top winners and lots of the placed exhibits could hold their own in any competition in any country. Presentation was an eye opener for me as you prepare your dogs more naturally than we do in the UK. They all had well presented coats and not a bit of chalk in sight!! I think your style of presenting your dogs is a credit to you and I must say I did like the more natural look of the dogs. |
